Investment casting lets us produce parts with geometric freedom that machining alone cannot reach: undercuts, internal cavities and thin, complex walls, all in a single near-net-shape pour. It is the right process when the design is intricate, the alloy is expensive, or the part count is high enough that minimising material waste matters.
